TENDER TITLE: PROVISION OF SECONDARY INTERNET CONNECTION FOR EAST AFRICAN TEA TRADE ASSOCIATION (EATTA).
TENDER NUMBER: PRQ20181094
TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) is an aid-for-trade organization established in 2010 with the main aim of promoting economic development in all East Africa Community states by supporting trade facilitation. EATTA is at an advanced stage of developing an electronic tea trade platform to facilitate the sale of teas in East Africa. The system is designed to operate in a high efficiency and availability ICT infrastructure environment due to the nature of data it will handle. EATTA is currently connected to one internet connection, acting as the primary. It is therefore necessary to acquire a secondary
internet connection that will serve as a redundant connection to augment the primary internet connection. From this perspective, EATTA with the support of TMEA is planning to upgrade their
bandwidth and acquire a secondary service provider to serve as a redundant connection to support the operations of the integrated Tea Trade System under development.
